This year (2018), we are the official PR partner to Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays) for the fourth year in a row. Our mission is to attract international journalists to the meeting and to assist them on site. NLSDays is the Nordic region’s premier partnering event for companies, service providers, investors, research communities, and government and regulatory bodies. We have the experience to deliver effective PR to support our client companies irrespective of whether the goal is to secure financing, out-license technology, find a partner or support marketing . We don’t have a standard package for our services. It is always the business objectives which define a tailor-made offer aimed at building value for the client.
We write press releases as other PR bureaus do. We also assist in developing Q&As, advising on the content of press kits etc. Where we stand out as different is how we ensure that journalists pick up the story from the overwhelming news flow they constantly receive. This is where our comprehensive network of journalists and understanding of how they work comes in. We always follow-up with targeted media and their journalists to secure that they have received the press release. We can never promise coverage, but our track record is pretty good.
When we start working with a new client we repeatedly discover that there is little or no footprint at all in leading international trade press. Through our excellent contact with editors of these media, the first mission for us is often to arrange a phone interview for our new client with a resulting profile article about the company as result. Other opportunities arise in conjunction with announcement of major news or if our client can contribute expertise within an emerging area discussed in media.
OPPORTUNITIES AT CONFERENCES AND PARTNERING MEETINGS
Despite the rise of digital media, International congresses continue to be important meeting places for the life science industry. From BIO and JP Morgan to Genesis and Bio-Europe, we specialize in arranging face to face briefings for our clients with key press, as well using long-standing contacts to work with organizers and secure speaker opportunities.
To assist in setting up interviews in conjunction with press releases is only one possibility. We can arrange meetings in Sweden when journalists are visiting, we can do the same in conjunction with international congresses attended by the press and we can arrange phone interviews. Good journalist contacts, an understanding of their reader’s interests and a story matching the journalist’s expectations – all increase the chances of attracting their interest.
We can also offer custom pitching of an article, something which is appreciated by some media and provides great value for our clients. Our assigned free-lance journalist will then do the interview by phone or skype.
